Welcome to my page! I began working with the Menifee County School District in 2017 as a substitute teacher. This is my third year as an LBD Special Education teacher in Menifee County. Thus far I have primarily worked with preschool-first grade. 

For those who may not know me, I am a native of Campton, Kentucky. I graduated from Wolfe County High School in 2002. I am a transplant, but Menifee County has been home for nearly 20 years. I have been married to my husband Jamie, a life-long resident of Menifee County, for 17 years. We have two children and one grandchild. I graduated from Morehead State University in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades ELA and LBD Special Education P-12. Yes, you read those years correctly. There is a large gap because I took a hiatus from work to raise my children. During that time, I volunteered within the community with the Menifee County Chamber of Commerce, at my kid's elementary, and served as an officer on Botts Elementary Schools PTO. That's where my inspiration to earn my degree in education was nurtured.

I love my job, the students I serve, and the team that I have been blessed to work alongside. I believe it is our job, educators and parents, to work together to ensure that we are providing students with the best education possible. I am excited for the upcoming year Menifee Central. I'm looking forward to the 22-23 school year, being back to in-person learning, and working with your child. I can't wait to see the growth of each of my students this year. 

My promise to you is that I will do my best to provide your child with the same love, attention, and instruction that I would want my own children to receive, and hopefully, in turn, spark a love for learning in your child.
