I am the band director for both Menifee Central and Menifee County High School Bands. I also teach elementary general music classes.
I am a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, where I attended Lockland High School, playing football, wrestling, baseball and tennis. I was also a member of the music program, which included marching band, chorus and steel drum band.
I attended Berea College from 1993-1997, graduating with a Bachelors in Music, focusing on both instrumental and choral music.
I received my masters in Special Education from Campbellsville University in 2007
I received my masters in Music Education from University of the Cumberlands in 2010.
I received my Director of Special Education Certification, Level I, from Campbellsville University in 2017.
My teaching career includes:
-2 years at JT Alton Middle School in Hardin Co, where I taught Special Education and was the head football Coach
-9 1/2 years at Russell County High School, where I taught all core content classes in collaborative and resource settings, and also taught arts and humanities classes, and was the choral director. I worked with the marching band as a brass staff person for 4 seasons. I also coached football and track for 5 years.
-Outside of teaching, I worked for 4 years for the state Department of Mental Health and Retardation at the Communities at Oakwood in Somerset, KY, as a case manager and as a residential home manager.
-I moved to Menifee County Schools at the start of January, 2016, and have taught in this district to the present day. I have taught at Botts Elementary, Menifee Elementary, Menifee Central and Menifee High School.
